Dr. & Dr. Tillman

How did you all meet?
We met during our first year of Optometry school

What were your first impressions of each other?
We did not have a good first impression of each other at first but later became very good friends and the rest was history.
How and when did you know that he/she was the one?
I saw how strong willed she was. Anything that she would put her mind to she would get it done no matter what was in her way. She had a plan and she was set to do it and that is what I love about her.

I knew Jeremy was the one when I saw him putting effort into getting to know my family, even if there is a language barrier with my parents. I love how family oriented he is and I love his family and their dynamic. They’ve always treated me like I am one of their own. Lastly, I knew he was the one when I saw how he treated my crazy dog, Chance. He is a lot to put up with, but Jeremy never complained. After many years, I have not yet heard a bad comment about Jeremy from my family, especially the ones in Vietnam. They all adore him.
How did the proposal happen?
We were going to Costa Rica in December 2024. I proposed to her at a Volcano in Costa Rica since volcanos bring up diamonds from the earth’s mantle.
What was memorable or unexpected about it?
I did not expect to propose in front of 40 random people at the time.
What were your goals for your marriage?
To love each other indefinitely and to grow a big happy family.
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Jeremy – My favorite moment was the mix of cultures and how they came together for an amazing experience.
Yetti – My favorite moment was to be able to see all of the faces of the people we love who came to celebrate with us.
What was your experience like at Burdoc Farms?
Jeremy – It was magical and a great space for a wedding. For the past 6 years. I always knew I wanted to get married there from attending friends’ weddings.
Yetti – After 2 years of dating, I’ve actually come across Burdoc Farms’ website and fell in love with the balcony area. We actually found out we wanted to get married here through a casual conversation with our friend and the name of the venue came up from the both of us.
What did you enjoy the most at Burdoc Farms?
The balcony, scenery with the pond, and the open land at Burdoc Farms and in Keith Glen are made for great photos and memories.
What advice would you give a couple that are planning their wedding now that you can look back on yours?
Take pictures with everyone. I don’t think we’ll ever have our family, friends or colleagues from both sides in the same room at the same time again, so we want to make lots of memories and be able to look back at it.
